The Family Speech Clinic has been providing residents of York, Simcoe and Durham Regions with the best in speech and language pathology services since 1994. The Clinic has earned a well-respected reputation for commitment to the needs of children, adolescents and adults with communication and swallowing concerns. The Family Speech Clinic Team, composed of Speech-Language Pathologists, Communicative Disorders Assistants, Volunteers and an Office Manager, is led by Beth Cranmer-Smith, Speech-Language Pathologist, Owner and Director. Our goal is to meet the speech-language pathology needs of clients and their families at a reasonable cost. We offer quick access to services, including evening and weekends appointments. We strive to provide a friendly and supportive clinical environment from the moment you contact the Clinic and throughout your experience.
The Family Speech Clinic provides professional, personalized, and creative approaches to speech and language development intervention to make it fun, effective, and functional. We help parents obtain skills they need to help their Children to become better communicators.
We specialise in working with people with a wide range of communication difficulties including stammering and voice disorders and difficulties resulting from stroke, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, autism, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome.

At the Family Speech Clinic we are providing a large range of services for individuals with communication challenges by providing professional services at a distance by linking clinician to client or clinician to clinician for assessment, intervention, and/or consultation.
